Granny's red scissors
I love everything about these scissors. I don't use them—the hinge is kind of loose and they're blunt and I have a better, newer pair of kitchen scissors—but I like to keep them around, where I'll set eyes on them daily.
Holding small things
I work with lots of tiny things — tiny pearls and gemstones, small pieces of wire and little lengths of chain.
Tools on Tuesday
I have strong feelings about many of the tools that I use daily. As a maker, these tools are almost as meaningful to me as the things I make.
Who is lurking in my family tree?
Last month I figured out that I'm a 4th generation artist. I came across a photograph of my great-grandmother at her painting easel, and the legacy hit me. I decided to start a 12 month research and writing project about my family.
