I work with lots of tiny things — tiny pearls and gemstones, small pieces of wire and little lengths of chain. When I'm in the middle of making a piece I often need to keep the different "ingredients" separate, and I have lots of small containers for just that purpose.
These are some of my favorite. Tarnished silver salt cellars that are the perfect tool for holding the makings of a necklace or bracelet.
What containers do you use for alternate purposes?
I have strong feelings about many of the tools I use daily. As a maker, these tools are almost as meaningful to me as the things I make. I created #toolsontuesday to keep up the practice of sharing stories about the tools we use.
Every Tuesday, I share one of my favorite tools. I hope you'll share yours in the comments — it feels good to honor these everyday objects.
