Antique scissors from my grandmother

I just wrote a blog post about my grandmother, Gunda Lambton, which made me think of a funny pair of scissors I inherited from her. You can see how handmade they are in the finger rings, which are wonderfully irregularly shaped. And I love the little loops so you can hang them around your neck on a ribbon. ⠀

I previously posted my Scottish grandmother's kitchen scissors so here are the two pairs together. ⠀

I have strong feelings about many of the tools I use. As a maker, these tools are almost as meaningful to me as the things I make. I created #toolsontuesday to keep up the practice of sharing stories about the tools we use and live with.⠀
⠀
On Tuesdays, I share one of my favorite tools. I hope you'll share yours in the comments — it feels good to honor these everyday objects.⠀
