Continuing with the show and tell of old kitchen tools, here is my beloved potato masher collection.
The square one on the left is a recent gift from a fellow tool lover, while the wavy and spiral mashers have been with me for years.
There is something so sculptural and satisfying about these simple tools. Especially the way that two of them are made of one piece of heavy gauge wire, like a drawing made by a pencil that is never lifted from the paper.
Do you mash? What tool do you use? Please share.
I have strong feelings about many of the tools I use. As a maker, these tools are almost as meaningful to me as the things I make. I created #toolsontuesday to keep up the practice of sharing stories about the tools we use and live with.
Every Tuesday, I share one or more of my favorite tools. I hope you'll share yours in the comments — it feels good to honor these everyday objects.
Do you know how old tge one on the left is Thanks
