The past month has been full of travel and time spent with dear friends. Now I'm back in the studio gearing up for the busy holiday season which will be here before we know it.
First things first — I should start with tidying up because the work table looks like it's been hit by a bomb and it's hard to find things.
Outside the garden is full of flowers and the insects are showing up in crazed hungry droves. Looking out the studio window is like watching Butterfly TV.
There's a lot of butternut squash this year, and raspberries, but the naughty and very fat groundhogs (aka whistle pigs) have taken liberties with the tomatoes and greens. I'm going to start dreaming about next year's garden successes.

Reading & watching
I'm a huge Kate Atkinson fan so I devoured her latest Jackson Brodie adventure, Big Sky, as soon as I could get my hands on it.
I'm hooked on The Great British Baking Show. I haven't baked a single new thing but I now feel like a puff pastry expert...
